ps as already advised RHQ do not place any wreath on remembrance sundays, this is done by them on remembrance day, walking by the barracks about 18 years ago i was sad to see on the remembrance sundays our lads did not have any flowers,as told before in my newsletters i felt someone should take up this duty, sometimes no one who be present over these many years with me,once i had the company of a little gurkha.but since we vipers have taken over this sad duty i hope the lads we lost are not forgotten.what with big dave cole v3 flags, the viper redcoats, and corps of drums,i hope we carry out this sad duty in good order.thanks blue v1, a photo will be put up by big dave.

Nov 12 2009 09:18 pm
thanks to all the lads who took the time to stand with me on remembrance sunday, lenny from ashford, mark and matt, from canterbury, big dave from deal, hoppy all the way from mainstone, and thanks to the viper redcoats for mounding guard over our fallen queensmens ,and a big thank you for their first duty ,viper corps of drums, who played the last post for our nine lads who never came home with us.our viper ironsides, could not make it this year, again thanks to dilly and harry harris for helping towards the costs of the regimental wreath, blue viper one.

To ALL of you out there, please kindly attend the Remembrance day parade that 'Blue' lays on each year.   This year I unfortunately cannot attend.   BUT, please take photo's to place upon our web site.
Do hope sincerely, that you have a most quiet and respectful moment, remembering our fallen comrades.   BUT, also please remember the 'Glorious Glosters' (nothing to do with me) but who fought to the last man with bayonets and trench tools killing their enemy in Korea.
So many prayers you offer up to your God's in this week.   So many questions to be answered, so many solutions that might be solved.   But, above all please kindly respect your fellow men.!
Mike

Hello Dave and Blue and Lenny: great to see you all on the 12th in Lewes - I wish we could have chatted longer, but it was so busy wasn't it?   I had a great time there seeing old faces I've not seen in 40 years, in many cases.   It really was a trip in a lifetime for me.   Me going over there was Lorna's treat for my 60th birthday actually, and next time she wants to come too.   Best wishes to all from both of us - Bill and Lorna Kempton

It is brilliant that this Guestbook now is becoming a PERSONAL page, for ANY comments that ANYONE might place upon it.   As long; of course, that you follow the basic rules.
I am quite sure, that there are many lads/lasses out there in this wide world, that might wish to place a message.
If so, please feel free to do so.   We welcome your messages.

As this was the first funeral by 'The Viper Club' it went very well indeed.   I have made some notes, and sent them to 'Blue'.   I just cannot thank everyone enough for attending.   The day was beautiful in weather and in the actual comradeship extended to 'Viper' 'Smudger' Smith.   I was so very proud of everyone attending.
I know that the family were very pleased indeed.
